Sound Box
Six bells, six notes. Tap away — nothing here can sound wrong.
For parents
The six bells are tuned pentatonically — a scale without semitone steps, the same one children's xylophones have used for decades. That is why nothing here can sound wrong: in this tuning no two notes clash, whatever the order and however fast they are tapped. The bells grow larger and lower from left to right; nobody explains it, you hear and see it, and for a two-year-old that is the discovery. There is no goal, no counter and no ending — the sound box remembers nothing. Unlike the other games nothing is locked here either: tap with two fingers and you hear two notes, because an instrument must never block. The button above switches the timbre (bell, wood, flute), the other one turns the sound off entirely. There are no ads on this page and no sign-up.
