The board shows the picture faintly, as a guide, plus the outline of every slot. The pieces wait in a tray beside the board, or underneath it on a phone. A piece can be dragged to its spot and released there, then it clicks into place. Just as well, a piece can simply be tapped: it then glides to its spot on its own, which helps the youngest children who cannot drag reliably yet. If a piece lands too far from its spot, it flies back to the tray, with no error sound. Anyone who misses twice gets a hint on the next pickup: the correct spot lights up. When the picture is complete, a fanfare plays with confetti, the name of the picture is spoken aloud, and after four seconds the next of 20 pictures follows on its own. The number of pieces, 4, 6 or 9, and the sound can be changed at any time, there are no points, no timer, no ads and no login.
