Mines

The first tap is always safe.

How to play

Mines are hidden in the field. Tap a cell to open it. A number tells you how many mines lie in the eight cells around it. An empty cell has no mines next to it and opens its surroundings right away.

Where you have spotted a mine for sure, place a flag. You win once every cell without a mine is open. The flags do not have to be complete for that.

Levels

Where do I know this from?

Many people know the idea from Minesweeper, which shipped with Windows for decades. Wimolino Mines plays it without ads and without an app, with a first tap that never hits.

Minesweeper is a trademark of its respective owner. Wimolino Mines is an independent game and is not affiliated with it.

Frequently asked questions

Is Mines free?
Yes. No ads, no purchases, no account. Open the page and play.
Can I lose on the first tap?
No. The mines are placed only after your first tap, and never on that cell or its neighbours. The first tap always opens an area.
How do I place a flag on a tablet?
Press and hold a cell, or switch on “Flags” at the top so every tap places a flag. On a computer, use the right mouse button.
What happens when I tap a number?
If exactly as many flags as the number shows already surround it, all its other neighbours open at once. If a flag is wrong, you hit a mine.
Is my game saved?
Yes, including the time, but only in your browser. Your best time per level stays there too.
